Our Trip to the Park

We did not feed the geese this time but I think they remembered us.

Riley loves this geese. They start to honk and she just giggles.

This is the first time they have been close to the water. Which for those that know me well, know I HATE SAND!!!!! They had too much fun digging in the sand and playing in the water. They were soaked from the waist down. A boat went past and caused a wake the girls were not paying attention and the waves came up almost to their knees. They both jumped and screamed. They just love the park so much. Every time I pick Zoe up from school she asks first if she has Tae Kwon Do. If the answer is no then she asks to go to the park.

Zoe got her first phone call from a boy!

Zoe showed me yesterday a little note in her pocket. She carefully unfolded it like it was the Constitution and there written on this little piece of notebook paper was a phone number. I asked whose it was. Zoe giggled and said "it is Benny's phone number He gave it to me" I asked if she had given Benny her phone number. She said yes with a girlish grin. How cute. Steve was not amused as much as I was. Of course with that I had to play it up.

Well this afternoon after tae kwon do we can home and I was listening to the messages and on comes this sweet little voice saying "Hi Zoe this is Benny. You gave me your phone number (he then read back our number) then he said oh yeah see you at school tomorrow" I expected that at some point I would have to worry about sharing the phone with three girls but I never imagined it would be this early.

Lots of News

First to start Grandma is back in the hospital. She was admitted today. She got the crud we have been passing around the house. Gotta love elementary school germs.

Sydney and I toured a preschool today and she is signed up to start in September. What a big girl. She is so excited she keeps asking if she is going tomorrow. It is at a Baptist church very close to the house.

We all went to Lake Wheeler Park yesterday and had a cook out, while the girls played on the playground. We fed the wild wild geese that like to charge you to get the bread. Sunday afternoon I took the girls out there to feed them and they charged us, I got a little nervous because I thought they were going to think Riley's toes were bread. So there was a couple on a bench nearby so I asked if they wanted some bread, they said yes. So we sat back and watched as they were bombarded. The woman actually jumped up and stood on the bench because they were that aggressive. When we fed them yesterday we fed them from the gazebo deck above the lake so they could not get us. There was one poor goose that had a pine cone with fishing wire wrapped around his foot. Steve went down with some bread to see if he could get close enough to remove it. But the crazy goose hissed at him. I did not know geese hissed. Steve ran away.

Riley dropped her doll and said aaahhhooohhhhh. It was soooo cute!!!! Her first word was momma then daddy now aaahooohhhh. She is growing so fast. She is not walking yet. She still in small and in charge!!!!!

Zoe's class has baby chicks. They were able to watch them hatch. Today being April fools she is trying all kinds of I fooled ya. Like mom there is a snake behind you. haa haa fooled you. Lovely!!!
